Walker's Paradox

Prompted by a scene from Renoir's A Day in the Country, two moviegoers find an unexpected connection.

Making a short narrative film from scratch in three weeks was, needless to say, a challenge. Like the 2016 project, the film project was collaborative. Students quickly assumed the key roles required to make a narrative film—screenwriters, directors, sound engineers, lighting, acting, and so on. Looking back, it was a stressful project because narrative film involves so many moving parts, parts that must be precisely prepared and ready to go on a dime. Nevertheless, the students pulled together a thoughtful and timely film called, Walker’s Paradox
