Paris is a Woman
A woman is transformed walking through Paris.
Paris is a Woman is directed by Sam Goslin from the University of Chicago. Sam’s film explores the complex relationship a woman has to the image of herself as it is inculcated by a masculinist culture. “Paris is a woman” is well-worn trope to describe the city. Goslin’s film takes on the cliché, filters it through a feminist lens, and rewrites the image of woman in Paris. Produced by Jacob Klipstein (Feirstein), cinematography by Carmine Mazza (CSI), and a performance by Rachel Restivo (CSI), Goslin film is precisely a cinematic rendering of the way students experienced Paris in summer 2023.
